Let’s help children strengthen their Polish language – with joy, play, and expert advice.

This online session led by Speech Pathologist Dr Mateusz Szurek and presented by Liverpool Polish Saturday School in conjunction with University of Łódź, and Polish Australian Business Forum will provide practical strategies, fun activities, and playful exercises designed to strengthen Polish language skills in bilingual children. Through engaging games, you’ll learn how to make language learning enjoyable and effective at home or in the classroom.

ABOUT DR MATEUSZ SZUREK | Dr. Mateusz Szurek is a speech-language pathologist, a specialist in voice disorder rehabilitation, and a lecturer at the University of Łódź. He also serves as president of the Polish Society for Voice Rehabilitation and vice-president of the Łódź Branch of the Polish Speech-Language Pathology Society.

As part of his speech-language pathology practice, he diagnoses and provides speech-language pathology therapy for adults, specialising in the rehabilitation of individuals with voice disorders and in working with individuals who use their voice professionally. He also works with children with speech and communication disorders.

Neuro-speech-language pathology is close to his heart not only in clinical practice but also in his research, which is why he has been working at the University of Łódź as an assistant professor since 2017. He is the author of scientific publications in the fields of speech-language pathology, speech-language pathology, and voice rehabilitation. He furthers his clinical knowledge through numerous training courses, scientific conferences, and internships both in Poland and abroad.
